32 Weeks!

How far along?: 32 weeks down- 8 weeks left!!!!!!

How big is baby?: the size of a squash!

She's starting to get ready for her big debut, tipping the scales at almost four pounds and topping out at just about 19 inches. In these past few weeks, it's all about practice, practice, practice as she hones the skills she'll need to thrive outside the womb — from swallowing and breathing to kicking and sucking. And speaking of sucking, your little one has been able to suck her thumb for a while now. Something else to note: As more and more fat accumulates under your baby's skin, she's becoming less transparent and more opaque.

Weight gain?: I have gained 20 pounds total

Stretch marks?: Unfortunately I have developed a few :(

Maternity clothes?: Mostly dresses these days with the weather being extremely hot!

Sleep?: Still not sleeping well but I have created a little wall of pillows around me every night and it seems to be helping

Best moment this week?:  Hubby is getting more excited about Hadley Kate's arrival and it's making me more excited! We love laying on the couch and watching her move! We also had an amazing shower this past weekend! There will be a post on that soon!

Food cravings?: ICE! I can't get enough, I think it's the heat but I just love it.

Gender?: Baby GIRL!!!! Hadley Kate Thomas

Movement?: That girl has been jumping and jiving in my belly non-stop! I feel movement most of the day and all throughout the night. She is one busy girl in there!

Labor signs?: Only braxton hicks!

What I'm looking forward to?: I am getting more and more anxious about her arrival! I can't wait to see our little girl!

31 Weeks!

How far along?: 31 weeks down- 9 weeks left!!!!!!

How big is baby?: the size of a squash!
Weighing in at three-plus pounds and measuring 18 inches long, your baby is quickly approaching her birth length — though she's got to pack on another three to five pounds before D-day. She's now processing information, tracking light, and perceiving signals from all five senses.

Weight gain?: I have gained 20 pounds total

Stretch marks?: Still no stretch marks

Maternity clothes?: Mostly maternity clothes and lots of dresses!

Sleep?: Still not sleeping, I can't ever get comfortable. I keep rolling on my back and apparently that's a big no-no so I wake up all night moving back to my side.

Best moment this week?:  The painting got started in Hadley's room and my mom is coming this weekend to help set everything up! We also had our hospital tour Tuesday night and it made everything seem so real!!!

Food cravings?: Sno-cones are still a favorite but I like them with very little juice, veggies and fruits are also some favorites right now!

Gender?: Baby GIRL!!!! Hadley Kate Thomas

Movement?: If Hadley's movement now is any indication of her attitude when she gets here, she's going to be a sassy little handful! I think she has finally turned and I feel little feet in my ribs! Thankfully it's only sweet kicks and brushes and aren't painful!

Labor signs?: Only braxton hicks!

What I'm looking forward to?: Baby Shower this weekend and finishing the nursery!!!!

How far along?: 29 weeks down- 11 weeks left!!!!!!

How big is baby?: the size of a squash!

This week, your baby weighs almost 2.5 pounds and is about 15 1/2 inches long. Baby's energy is surging, thanks to white fat depositing beneath her skin. And since she's growing so fast (weight will triple by birth), things are getting kind of cramped in the womb. What all this means for you: Get ready for some more kicks and jabs to the ribs.

Weight gain?: I had gained 2 pounds at my last visit for a total of 17 pounds

Stretch marks?: Still no stretch marks

Maternity clothes?: Mostly maternity clothes and lots of dresses!

Sleep?: Still not sleeping, Hadey likes to move the most at night and I can't ever get comfortable.

Best moment this week?: Hadley's crib and bedding have been ordered so I am waiting on them to come in to find a paint color for her room!!! I am so excited to start decorating and getting her things in order!

Food cravings?: Ice! Althought it's not a food I love chewing on ice, icees and sno-cones are still favorites

Gender?: Baby GIRL!!!! Hadley Kate Thomas

Movement?: This girl is strong! There are times when she takes my breath away with some of her kicks! She is really active at bedtime and wakes me up in the morning.

Labor signs?: Braxton Hicks Contractions have started and are only midly uncomfortable when I'm trying to move around. Other than that no labor signs!

What I'm looking forward to?:  Baby Shower coming up next weekend! I'm so excited to see Hubby's side of the family and catch up with everyone!

Ramblings...

There are days that it blows my mind that in eleven short weeks I will be a Mom. I will watch my sweet little girl grow and learn new things, take care of her when she is sick, send her off for her first day of school,  listen to her boy problems when she is in older, go prom dress shopping, help her choose a college and a career and one day watch her marry the man that adores her. I think so much about my own Momma and how she carried me and felt my kicks and dreamt of who Sara Elizabeth would be just like I dream of Hadley Kate. I haven't even met this little girl yet and I love her in a way that I've never loved anyone. I would give my own life for her and I've never even looked into her eyes. I have a whole new understanding of how much my mother really means it when she says she loves me and only wants the best for me. I only hope that my little girl will love me and look up to me as much as I have my Momma.

I am probably most excited about seeing Kendall with his little girl and watching him fall in love with her everyday. He will love and adore her and she will love and adore him. He spoils me to death and is so thoughful and I can't wait to see him be the same way with Hadley. There is no other relationship like the one that a little girl's with her daddy. I think of how my Daddy has always been patient and sweet with us and Kendall shares so many of his characteristics.

We have conversations often of who this little girl will be and who she will look like. Will she be shy like  her Momma or outgoing and funny like her Daddy? Will she be bossy and demanding like me or easygoing and self-less like him? We are so excited to meet this blessing that God has given us!!

27 Weeks!

How far along?: 27 weeks down- 13 weeks left!!!!!!
27 weeks pregnant
How big is baby?: the size of a head of cauliflower!

This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds and is about 14 1/2 inches long with her legs extended. She's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing her eyes, and perhaps even sucking her fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While her lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if she were born now.

Weight gain?: I had gained 2 pounds at today's visit for a total of 17 pounds

Stretch marks?: Still no stretch marks

Maternity clothes?: Mostly maternity clothes and lots of dresses!

Sleep?: I'm thinking the advice "make sure to sleep while you can before the baby gets here" is null and void for me because I am finding it impossible to sleep!

Best moment this week?: Hadley is finally being a sweet girl and letting her Daddy feel kick and wiggle! It's so fun to see his face light up when he feels her kick him!

Food cravings?: Ice! Althought it's not a food I love chewing on ice, icees and  sno-cones are still favorites

Gender?: Baby GIRL!!!! Hadley Kate Thomas

Movement?: My girl loves to move and groove in my belly. Her movements are getting stronger!

Labor signs?: Not at all!

What I'm looking forward to?: Getting all moved into our new house and getting Hadley Kate's nursery ready

Getting prepared for Hadley Kate!

Sweet Hadley will be here in 14 short weeks and we haven't done much of anything to prepare for her arrival. Until last week all we have gotten were a few clothes for her, diaper bags, and a pack of pies (pacifiers). Needless to say this Momma is starting to freak out! Thankfully we got her stroller and carseat ordered, which I am OH SO EXCITED about! Below is the pic of the travel system that we picked out and from all the reviews I've read and the test drives in Target, I'm going to love it!

We also ordered her bassinet that she will sleep in for the first few months. It has a built in nightlight along with soothing sounds and vibrations, pretty excited about that too!

Besides a beautiful baby girl coming into our lives in August, we have another big event happening in our lives this summer. We are moving! Yes, again...haha! As soon as we found out that we were having a baby earlier this year we decided that we needed to make the move closer to his parents so I would have some help with baby girl. My parents live over 3 hours away so we knew that we couldn't make the move close to them because of Hubby's job but we will be closer for traveling to see them. We should be moved by the end of June and I'm already dreading the packing and moving because I can't help with the moving, just pack and carry the small stuff.
I have a feeling that once the move is complete I will go into full-blown nesting and nursery preparations! I haven't even started on a nursery yet because I knew we weren't going to be here but I have lots and lots of ideas. I am so ready for that to be done, it definitely is causing the most stress for me right now.

25 Weeks!

How far along?: 25 weeks, Average size: 13.6 inches, 2.2 lbs!

How big is baby?: the size of an eggplant!

Under her skin, capillaries are forming and filling with blood and by week's end, air sacs (also lined with capillaries) will develop in her lungs, getting them ready for that first breath. Mind you, those lungs aren't ready for prime time just yet — but they are developing surfactant, a substance that will help them expand after birth. And speaking of breathing, your baby's tiny nostrils, which have been plugged up until now, are starting to open, and her vocal chords are getting ready to roar.

Weight gain?: At my last appointment I saw numbers on the scale that I've NEVER seen before and it's scary but I know that it's all worth it. I've gained 15 pounds total so far.

Stretch marks?: Still no stretch marks but I'm getting the line down my belly already :(

Maternity clothes?: I am totally in maternity bottoms and sqeezing into regular tops is getting more difficult, flowy dresses are my absolutely favorite right now

Sleep?: I am not totally sleeping at night because I can't get comfortable, I wake up every few hours readjusting and propping pillows under my belly because it's so heavy! Ha!

Best moment this week?: Realizing that we are 100 days away until Hadley Kate gets here!!!!!

Food cravings?: Anything cold-SnoCones, IceCream, Icees.

Gender?: Baby GIRL!!!! Hadley Kate Thomas

Movement?: She usually wakes me up long before my alarm goes off in the morning with her kicking and moving, seeing her move in my belly is my favorite thing so far.

What I miss?: Bending over is getting harder to do but I'm really enjoying being pregnant

Labor signs?: Not at all!

What I'm looking forward to?: Buying everything that Hadley needs and getting the nursery together!
